Emida Offers the Top Up Convenience Card in the US

FOOTHILL RANCH, California, September 26, 2012 (Business Wire) – Emida, a leader in the global prepayment and value transfer market, offers a convenient and safe alternative for top up payments in the US.

The typical top up experience requires a customer provide their phone number to a clerk so funds can be added to their phone. Rather than risking the merchant transposing the number or making the customer announce their personal information, Emida has developed a top up convenience card that stores the phone number. This allows the merchant to effortlessly swipe their card for each transaction, ensuring customer privacy every time, and without the risk of human error.

“The top up convenience card is a solution that has been deployed internationally by Emida. Today we are offering it to the US customer, which is ideal given the number of different carriers in our geography,” says Traci Jones, Director of Marketing and Product Management. “The card is simple and easy to use. With just a swipe of the card and the amount, the user is instantly topped up.”

Ron Kraft, VP/General Manager of North America agrees, saying, “We pride ourselves on being innovative and develop solutions where we see a need in our customer base. The convenience card not only solves a problem at the consumer level, but at the merchant level as well. It is a win-win.”

International Top Up Reaches New Heights at Emida

FOOTHILL RANCH, California, August 15, 2012 (Business Wire) – Emida, a leader in the global prepayment and value transfer market, shows month over month growth in International top up.

Since releasing International top up in early 2010, Emida has seen tremendous growth. An extensive offering of geographies coupled with an effortless transaction process at the merchant level, has resulted in both high customer demand and a smooth selling experience for the distribution channel.

“It was important to us that we develop the International top up product to be as intuitive as possible,” says Ron Kraft, VP/GM North America. “So in order to apply airtime funds to an overseas phone, a U.S. retail clerk needs only to gather the number and the amount from the consumer. The Emida system will find the appropriate International carrier and complete the transaction. This design alleviates any confusion over which carrier the phone is utilizing.”

With the addition of more than 20 new operators already in 2012 and the ease of use pertaining to the processing of transactions, International top up will undoubtably continue as one of the fastest growing products within the Emida suite of global prepaid solutions.

Facey Group Ltd. Completes 80 Million Electronic Transactions in the Caribbean in 3 Years

FOOTHILL RANCH, California, July 12, 2012 (Business Wire) – Emida, a leader in the global prepayment and value transfer market, today confirmed its partner, Facey Group Ltd., has successfully processed over 80 million electronic transactions in 20 Caribbean countries since its first Emida system was deployed in September 2009.
