Emida and Lotenal to launch a new lottery game

FOOTHILL RANCH, California, April 2008 (Business Wire) – Emida Technologies, through their Mexican subsidiary Red de Prepago de Mexico (RPM), has finalized an agreement with Lotería Nacional de Mexico para la Beneficiencia Pública (Lotenal), Mexico’s state owned and operated lottery company, for the launch of a new game for their Electronic Instant Lottery product.

The new game will highlight a new draw structure with more winning numbers and substantially bigger cash prizes.  Additionally, Lotenal and RPM have agreed to promote it  through a new set of innovative marketing practices. The new game will initially be made available at Mexican retailer giant Soriana, the second largest retailer in Mexico.

Since signing the original distribution agreement in 2006, both RPM and Lotenal have committed significant resources to tailoring the product to better meet retailer needs, especially in regards to queue time (a measure closely monitored by retailers throughout the world to manage cash register traffic flow).

The Electronic Instant Lottery offers consumers a chance to win cash prizes at the retailer’s point of sale. Upon purchase of an electronic ticket, the consumer will select a number between 0 and 9. The Electronic Instant Lottery will then “ran

domly draw” a number from Lotenal’s infrastructure. Winning numbers are paid out in cash at the cash register or in-store customer service desks,.
