Emida Supports Cross-border Top-up Between French St Martin and Dutch St Maarten in the Caribbean
FOOTHILL RANCH, California, December 13, 2011 (Business Wire) – Emida, leader in the global prepayment and value transfer market, congratulates its partners, Dauphin Telecom, French St Martin and Telem, Dutch St Maarten on their successful launch of cross-border prepaid wireless top-up.
On 1 December 2011, a Dauphin Telecom merchant in French St Martin completed a top-up to a Telem customer in Dutch St Maarten and so delivered an innovation that had been planned for months by both companies and developed for their specific needs by Emida. Dauphin Telecom’s General Manager, Eve Riboud, said “Dauphin customers often visit the Dutch side of the island so it made sense to work with Emida and Telem to allow them the convenience of adding funds to their Dauphin prepaid wireless accounts. After all, we say “Je recharge….ou, quand, et ce que je veux!” (“I recharge (my phone)….where, when and what I want!”).” “We love the new service”, said Christopher Bourne, VP Business Development at Telem, “it adds 100 new merchant locations in French St Martin to the 150 locations we support in Dutch St Maarten and so adds value, convenience and flexibility for Telem customers”.
John Saa, Emida International Account Manager, said “Emida loves helping customers and it is really fantastic when we can assist two customers at the same time! Dauphin and Telem are great customers and we expect to serve them with more and better in the months to come.”
