Emida Extends Global Reach with 14 New Countries in 2009
FOOTHILL RANCH, California, December 3, 2009 (Business Wire) ─ Emida Technologies, a leading provider in electronic prepaid solutions has had a marquee year, expanding its global footprint to 36 countries at the end of 2009 having ended the fourth quarter of 2008 with 22 countries.
Emida’s network technology facilitates value transfer of a broad range of prepaid products and payment services and the company’s distinguished distribution partners now offer Emida service in North, Central and South America, the extended Caribbean, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and Europe. Emida’s new operations in the last 12 months include Antigua, Barbados, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Jamaica, Nauru and Trinidad and Tobago. This growth confirms Emida’s abilities to deploy and support reliable, real-time transactional services in differing (and, occasionally difficult) operating conditions, attributes which increasingly differentiate the company from its competitors.
The additional countries have substantially increased Emida’s active terminal base outside USA and Mexico, where Emida is already a leading value transfer provider. Emida supported over 15,000 active international retail points in November 2009, an increase of over 120% compared to November 2008. These newly established retail points confirm Emida is both satisfying needs in emerging markets and acting upon its strategy of building profitable distribution networks.
