Emida Announces New Prepaid Products and Upgraded Services

Since the Emida/Q-Comm merger in mid-2007, Emida has consistently expanded not only the breadth of their worldwide customer base, but also the depth of their technology portfolio. As part of their ongoing technology expansion, Emida Unleashed brings five key prepaid services to Emida customers across the U.S. These three new and two enhanced products and services include Verifone POSA microbrowser access, enhanced PC terminal access, Prepaid Prepaid, money transfer, and Cash and Transact™, Emida’s mobile wallet solution.
Each of the new and enhanced services is designed to give Emida’s clients more flexibility, more value add and better customer retention. The new microbrowser application for Verifone POSA terminals allows merchants to run faster transactions, improving productivity and efficiency. For PC-based customers, PC Term, Emida’s enhanced web-based terminal solution, means merchants can run real-time transactions conveniently from any standard PC, and PC Term features new product categories, improved reporting and enhanced customer management tools. Prepaid Prepaid brings new freedom to Independent Sales Organization (ISO) customers, by allowing them to collect funds from their merchant clients before issuing a line of credit, thereby removing the risk of default and improving the merchant’s buying power. Emida expands their money transfer capability to offer a convenient and user-friendly service with competitive money transfer rates utilizing more than 10,000 payout locations throughout Mexico. And rounding out the new services, Cash and Transact™, Emida’s prepaid mobile wallet solution, lets users pay for goods and services and transfer funds from their mobile handset.
In order to support the new services and greatly expanded customer base, Emida has also launched World Class Customer Support, a premium support program that exceeds industry standards with 24×7 bilingual assistance, an on-call Level 2 team including production support engineers, proactive, around the clock systems monitoring, and an easy-to-use online ticket-tracking system for all issues submitted via phone or email.
