Emida Announces Support of Cingular and Boost Prepaid Debit/Credit Card Programs

FOOTHILL RANCH, California and MIAMI, Florida, March 21, 2006 (Business Wire) – Emida Technologies, a leader in the global prepayment and value transfer market, has announced support of the Cingular and Boost Green Dot™ prepaid debit/credit card programs.

The Green Dot™ program allows customers who don’t qualify for a conventional contract phone service to sign-up for monthly prepaid wireless services such as the Cingular Go Phone and Boost Premium programs using the Green Dot™ prepaid debit/credit card. Signing up for the card is simple – the customer provides basic contact information and selects a cash amount that is paid towards the card activation. No bank account or credit history is required to obtain a card, and it can be used instantly to purchase prepaid wireless services.

The Debisys platform, among the first POSA networks to support Green Dot™, supports all Green Dot™ prepaid products in addition to the Cingular and Boost prepaid cards, and customers can reload or purchase the cards at all Debisys locations.

“This program is unique in that it allows more people to obtain monthly wireless prepaid plans with higher minute limits,” states Stephen Combe, Vice President of Marketing at Emida. “Supporting the Green Dot™ network means that our ISO’s have yet another product to offer their customers, who in turn can offer a prepaid credit card to customers who may have previously been unable to obtain these services. Emida’s support of the Green Dot™ program opens up an entirely new market sector and revenue opportunities for ISOs and store owners alike.”
