David Kirtman, CEO
David Kirtman brings over a decade of stored value and payments experience to Emida, with expertise in business development and strategy, product development and management, and finance. Prior to joining Emida, David served as Vice-President of Business Development for the US and Latin American region at iSend where he was instrumental in building the company’s in-kind international payments business. Before iSend, David was a Vice-President at IDT and contributed significantly to the development and operation of IDT’s stored value and prepaid business. David has also worked at Unilever Mexico, Salomon Brothers, and was a principal in several start-ups. He holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
Shane Belovsky, COO
Shane has been with Emida since 2007 and contributes over 10 years of experience in executive leadership and business operations related to the software and payments industries. Shane initially led the redesign of Emida’s customer support department which he transformed to become an industry leading and world-class organization. Since his initial responsibilities and contributions in the customer support area, Shane has gone on to oversee several divisions of the Company as COO including management of the executive leaders in operational areas such as customer support, software development, QA, finance, and marketing as well as oversight of each of Emida’s business divisions – most recently assuming direct management of the U.S. business division. Prior to Emida, Shane worked as Vice President of Customer Relations for Foldera. As a founding member of Foldera, Shane built a customer service department from the ground up that was servicing over 100,000 customers by the time he left the company in 2007. Shane graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine, with a BA in Psychology.
Brian Piltz, EVP, Global Business Development
Brian brings over 25 years of international telecom experience to Emida, complementing its management philosophy with his customer-focused approach to business development. Brian’s tenure at Emida began in 2002 when he was hired to spearhead the launch of Emida’s international business. Since that time, Brian has been directly responsible for the procurement and deployment of Emida’s technology in over 30 countries. Prior to joining Emida, Brian held positions at Primal Solutions, International Telecommunication Data Systems (ITDS) and Subscriber Computing, where he successfully secured a worldwide distribution agreement with Ericsson for prepaid products and services. Deployed for Telcel Mexico, the agreement formed the first IN-based prepaid platform in the telecommunications industry. In addition, Brian has been a contributing speaker and panel expert at several global prepaid mobile events/trade shows in order to share his knowledge and experiences in the industry.
Martyn Fricker, VP/GM, International
As Emida’s VP/General Manager of International, Martyn brings over 20 years of international experience in customer management, cable television, mobile and general communications services. Joining Emida in 2005, Martyn most recently served as Emida’s Director of Marketing and Business Development, and formerly as Regional Business Development Manager of the Extended Caribbean region. Prior to joining Emida, Martyn enjoyed a six-year tenure at Cable & Wireless as Manager, Partner Sales, Cayman Islands, and Head of Sales Channel Development, West Indies. Earlier in his career, he worked in several business, marketing, sales and service development roles in the UK and Asia at Binariang Bhd, Telewest plc, Octagon Telecom Services and Mercury Communications Limited. Martyn has a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, UK, and an M.Sc. in Operational Research from the University of Southampton, UK. Following the completion of his M.Sc., Martyn completed a fellowship in Sales and Marketing Management in the UK.
Aldo Mizrahi, VP/GM, EmidaMex, Mexico
With over 14 years of proven leadership experience, Aldo Mizrahi is well versed in creating and implementing strategies for the development of new businesses, regions, and markets of consumer and industrial products and services. Aldo is responsible for the overall operation in Mexico as VP/GM of EmidaMex. He works to manage relationships with carriers and customers, develop budgets, create strategic business models, and develop new products. Prior to his time at Emida, Aldo led companies involved in sales of intellectual licenses, distribution of electronic gift cards, and strategic business consulting. Most notably, he directed the creation and implementation of the first Mexican company to offer expansion and cryopreservation of dental stem cells. Aldo holds a BS in Informatics from Anahuac University.
Imara Galaz, VP Business Development
Imara brings over 20 years of combined experience in Project Management and Business Development in the technology industry. She is responsible for locating new business opportunities and providing the product and service solutions that best fit the needs of prospective new customers. Her responsibilities for discovering new opportunities include all markets that Emida serves globally, including Latin America, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world. Imara also identifies potential business deals with distribution customers in the United States, where Emida partners with companies from various industries and verticals. She launched her career in Chile, where she worked as a Project Manager for more than a decade at Metrica Ltda., serving the largest telecommunications companies in the region and developing turnkey projects in uninterrupted energy solutions. Prior to joining Emida, Imara worked as a Purchasing Coordinator and Head of Sales for Latin America in Virtual Graffiti, one of the fastest growing IT solutions providers in Southern California. She has Commercial Engineering studies at the Central University of Santiago de Chile.
Anish Kurian, Director of Finance
Anish comes with 15 years of extensive experience in accounting, taxation, and auditing within public accounting and private sectors. He is a key player in the Emida Finance wing ever since he joined in 2012. He started his career with a public accounting firm in India, later worked as a Group Internal Auditor with Abdulla Fouad Holding Company, one of the largest in Middle East. He later switched over to public accounting after moving to US. Anish holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Mahatma Gandhi University, India. He also completed Articleship from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Angélica Palaez, Vice President of Project Management
Angélica is a systems engineer with more than 20 years of experience in software development and integration projects. She joined Emida after spending time at Unisys Corp in Bogota, Colombia, having managed various stages of critical projects. At Emida she has held several roles, including Director of Quality Assurance where she participated in the creation of the work team and the established the core, foundational processes in this area. Angelica currently utilizes her experience and knowledge as the Vice President of Product Management. Her primary responsibilities include identifying the needs of customers, reviewing market trends and working together with the development team to offer our clients modern, dynamic, and cutting-edge technology and products which deliver value to the Company, our customers and our partners. Angie is a certified Project Manager – certified by the Project Management Institute (Project Management Professional (PMP))”
Allison Seyler, Director of North American Accounts
Allison has over 15 years of sales and management experience working in the real estate, telecommunications and payment processing industries. She works at Emida Technologies focusing primarily on building, creating, and maintaining the US markets. Allison’s strengths include managing overall customer satisfaction, driving new business, relationships, and establishing strategic partnerships to increase revenue. She applies these talents for new account development – revenue enhancement – cultivating personal relationships with customers – carrier partnerships – critical thinking – strategic plans to expand sales and contract negations.
