Mexico, D.F. – November 8, 2005 – Only Telcel evolutions the way to purchase airtime offering an innovative alternative: the purchase of Electronic Airtime (Direct Top-up). This service is available to the prepaid customers who travel to the US or those that are living in the US and want to purchase airtime for an Amigo Telcel in Mexico. Currently the product is available in 1,500 POS from EMIDA.

For the first time, Direct Top-up is offered outside our country. The service allows clients to recharge the account of any Telcel Amigo subscriber in an easy manner and in real-time, you only need to go to a POS, provide the cellular number and no matter where the phone is, automatically and immediately the balance will be updated with the recharge (top-up) amount. Airtime can be purchased in US$10, US$20, US$30 and US$50 denominations. It is important to highlight that the Airtime is credited in Mexican Pesos using the current exchange rate.
