FOOTHILL RANCH, CA – January 5, 2004 – Debisys, Inc., a leading provider of prepaid transaction processing solutions, announced the availability of “Prepay Direct Top Up” a PINless recharge option for cellular operators.
The product allows for replenishment of accounts over the Debisys network without the need for PIN inventory or distribution. A subscriber can replenish their account at any location simply by providing their Mobile Identification Number (MIN) and funds are immediately added to their account.
Brian Piltz, Vice President of Business Development commented “PINless top up is the natural evolution in the prepaid world. First there were cards, then PINs on receipts and now with our Direct Top Up product carriers can achieve substantial savings compared to traditional distribution methods. They not only save on the management and distribution of PINs, but save on the voice call the subscriber makes into the network to enter the PIN. These savings are considerable.”
Industry Analyst Michael Mayers with Intel Reports added “Debisys’ announcement mirrors the evolution of the prepaid billing industry in the 90’s; initial prepaid systems relied on trunks to manage and monitor calls then evolved to adjust solutions and finally IN systems emerged. It all adds up to easier management and lower cost replenishment for operators.”
